FAQs

Do I need to buy any special equipment or gym gear?

No. You can wear anything that allows for good freedom of movement, like fitness clothing or just leggings and a t-shirt, and also supportive gym trainers.  I recommend bringing a water bottle and small towel if possible.

How often should I be training with you?

To get the best results, we should train together 1-2 times each week, although it could be more or less than this depending on your personal circumstances.  By combining our sessions with your own workouts, you could expect to work out every other day.

Can you help with nutrition?

Yes. I am a qualified nutritional advisor.  Nutrition plays a role in any exercise programme.  I also recommend you visit my blog for nutritional guidance and ideas.

What if I am running late or have to cancel at short notice?

Don't worry, it happens! Just contact me as soon as possible and I'll do my best to help.  Full details are available in the Client-Trainer Agreement.

Where can I train with you?

I train clients at my Studio location in Grayshott or other locations in Haslemere, Godalming and Farnham and surrounding villages.  You do not need to be a member of any gym to attend my personal training sessions.  I am also able to train you in your own home.

Do I have to have trained before?

No prior experience is necessary!

What if I have a medical issue?

We will complete a short Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire together prior to starting your programme of exercise.  The questionnaire is designed to identify the small number of individuals for whom physical activity might be inappropriate, or those individuals who should seek medical advice prior to commencing a programme of physical exercise.

How long is a session?

Personal training sessions and small group classes are 1-hour.

What types of training can we do?

Personal Training is personal - a one-size-fits-all approach never applies.  We can do almost any type of training however weights, cardio, resistance bands, bodyweight workouts, suspension training and stretching are most popular with my clients.
